The theme and title for our stand at the Christchurch 2010 Classic Car Show is…
The first and last Morris Minor Saloon sold New in New Zealand
We will be showing David Greenslade’s 1949 2-door Saloon. Which is the lowest numbered (SMM 5148) CKD New Zealand Morris Minor, as far as we are aware that is still in existence in New Zealand. It was sent from Morris Motors Cowley on the 24th December 1948 to New Zealand, along with another 184 examples all as completely knocked down components.
Graeme Dallings amazing New Zealand ‘last order’ (special order) Morris Minor Sedan was sold to Graeme’s father on the 19th November 1970 by Dominion Motors. Dominion Motors being a subsidiary of the New Zealand Motor Corporation, in 1970.
Come over to our stand, have a chat to us and view these amazing cars. Pioneer Stadium , Spreydon, 14/15 August.

The Mid Winter Christmas Dinner scheduled for tomorrow evening (10th July) has had a venue change. It it now at the Cashmere Working Mens Club and not at Richmond as previously advertised.
We have a new website. Hopefully the new format will allow for more user interaction e.g. you can comment on the photos. More photo uploads. Better and more complete events calendar. Updates of the 2012 convention and a lot more over the next weeks months.
I have planned: various online surveys/polls, online membership forms, maybe a for sale section.
